… Christens it ‘Budget of Consolidation
The Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA, Chief Hon. Obarilomate Ollor has presented the 2023 Appropriation Bill to the 9th Eleme Legislative Assembly for passage into law.
Christened “Budget of Consolidation”, Chief Obarilomate said it is to consolidate on his administration’s achievement of the previous budgetary year tagged Budget of Reality.
He said his administration in the past budgetary year has been able to construct and remodel the Eleme Motor Park, the Agbonchia Townhall, Eteo Market, and Onne Civic Centre, paid Bursaries to Eleme undergraduate students, give grants to some Masters and PhD students, purchases cars for Councilors amongst others. He added that one of the major projects of the appropriation bill for the 2023 fiscal year is the building of a modern and befitting Council Secretariat for Eleme local government council as the present structure does not befit the LGA status.
A breakdown of the appropriation bill for the 2023 fiscal year has an estimated revenue of Three billion, Nine hundred and Thirty-Three million, Eight hundred and Ninety-Seven thousand, Eight hundred and Thirty-Nine naira, Four kobo (N3,933,897,839.04k) with the recurrent expenditure of Three billion, Eighty Four million, Nine hundred and Seventy-Six thousand, Eight hundred Fifty-Six naira, Eighty-Eight kobo (N3,084,976,856.88k) while the capital expenditure is eight hundred and Nine million, Five hundred and Eighty-Two thousand, Three naira, Seventy-Seven kobo (N809,582,003.77).
Responding, the Leader of the 9th Eleme Legislative Assembly, Hon. Chumu Jima Daniel assured the Chairman of speedy passage of the bill to ensure he continues on his project delivery for the benefit of the people of Eleme. He commended the Chairman for the ongoing projects and the improved security within Eleme and its environs.
